Margo E. Goodridge, 64, passed away on Thursday (August 7, 2008) following a courageous 17-year battle with cancer.Mrs. Goodridge was born on March 10, 1944 in Wellsville, to Ervin and Gladys (Cornelius) Vanderhoef. She graduated from Alfred-Almond Central School in 1962. Soon afterward, she married the love of her life, Raymond L. Goodridge, on Sept. 1, 1962.Margo is survived by her husband, Raymond, and their son, Brian D. Goodridge of Andover; a sister, Carolyn (Jerry) Homminga of Rockford, Mich.; her brothers, Leo (Cindy) Vanderhoef of Olean, and Alan (Mary) Vanderhoef of Jacksonville, Fla.; her mother-in-law, Maxine Clark of Wellsville; dear friends, Helena and Richie York of Andover, Don, Peggy, Missy and Katie Frost of Andover; a special niece, Ingrid; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins; and a large “adopted” family.Margo was a homemaker, gladly devoting her life to her family. She was also a Cub Scout leader, a tee ball coach and a babysitter. She was an avid bowler and thoroughly enjoyed camping. Margo was a loyal friend and loving person who will be greatly missed.
